Obituary

Dr. Cornelis Dekker, MD of Muskego, WI and formerly of Genoa City, WI, died Tuesday afternoon January 13, 2015 at Tudor Oaks in Muskego.
Cornelis Dekker was born on August 11, 1924 in Pontiak, Indonesia the son of the late Louis and Cornelia deBock Dekker. On July 8, 1950 in the Netherlands, he was united in marriage to Sjoukje M. "Sharon" Kolk. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1978. On January 30, 1980 at Grace Lutheran Church in Richmond, IL, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Meyerhofer. She preceded him in death on September 15, 1997. On May 5, 2001, he was united in marriage to Nathalie Christensen.
Cornelis attended medical school in Amsterdam and came to the United States in 1953. He started his medical practice in Genoa City in 1956 and retired in 1994. Dr. Dekker was a hometown doctor and made many housecalls, day and night. He was on the staff of the Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Richmond and served on the Church Council. He was a charter member of the Genoa City Lions Club. He enjoyed photography, traveling, music and reading.
Dr. Dekker is survived by: His wife-Nathalie; 3 daughters-Dr. Cornelia (Dr. Dino Dina) Dekker of Half Moon Bay, CA, Hanneke (Dr. Michael) Deeken of Brookfield, WI and Dr. Marieke L. Schoen of Oak Park, IL; 1 son-Timothy (Kay) Dekker of Elkhorn, WI; 6 grandchildren and 3 gr. Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother-Roel Dekker.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Twin Lakes with Pastor Andy Tyrrell of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City. The Dekker Family will receive friends from 12:00PM Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
