Curtis G. VanderVeen, 69 of Elkhorn, WI died Wednesday April 5, 2023 at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center Milwaukee, WI.  He was born August 20, 1953 in Elkhorn, WI the son of the late Howard G. and Merceda (Thomsen) VanderVeen.  Curt graduated from Elkhorn Area High School with the Class of 1971.  On December 1, 1973 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth L. "Libbie" Larsen.  Curt's life was farming.  He farmed over 2500 acres raising mint, corn, carrots, and potatoes.  He had many diverse interests. He enjoyed snowmobiling, flying his airplane, jeeps, motorcycles, beagles, hunting for arrowheads, black powder shooting, gardening, hunting, and spending time up north.  He had an innate knack for being able to fix anything. He was a member of the Rock River Buckskinners and the Delavan Sportsman Club.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family, his wife of 49 years, Libbie, three children: Becky (Luke) Stallings of Elkhorn, WI, Bradley (Lindsay) VanderVeen of Fontana, WI and Gregg (Brittany) VanderVeen of Elkhorn, WI.  Ten grandchildren: Skylar Harlan, Dashel, Harper, Lenox and Penelope Stallings, Ava, Sawyer, Finn, Caroline and Olivia VanderVeen, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Roger and Katie Larsen. and by a host of other relatives and friends.  Curt was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Shari.

Private Family service will be held at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home.
