Dale R. Phelps age 67 of Whitewater, WI died on Thursday September 11, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Janesville, WI. Dale was born on August 8, 1947, son of the late Rudolph and Margaret Phelps. Dale was a long time resident of Palmyra before spending 13 years in Texas, then moving back to Whitewater after that. Dale was very proud to be a veteran where he served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. He worked for Waukesha Engine Division, Dresser Industries Inc. for 30 years. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Carol, who passed in 1986; and his brother Gene. Dale is survived by his three children; Barbara (Clarence) Reath, Dawn (Bill) Streib, and Sharon (Justin) Hacht; Six grandchildren; Ahlana, Daymian, Brandon, Morgan, Reese, and Evalynn; Five step-grandchildren; Thunder, Ronin, Phoenix, Lillian, and Felicity; and two sisters; Shirley Colburn and Belva Foat. A Funeral Service will be held for Dale at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Palmyra, WI on Friday September 19, 2014 at 4pm, officiated by Pastor Duane Goetsch; Visitation will be held before service from 2pm until the time of service at 4pm. Dale will be laid to rest at Hebron Cemetery in the township of Hebron, WI directly after his funeral service.
