Obituary
Dale B. Riggs age 84, of Palmyra completed his journey on earth on Friday, April 18, 2014.
Dale was born on March 22, 1930 in LaGrange, WI. He married Colleen Murphy on September 27, 1952 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Whitewater. Dale managed the Strand Theater in Whitewater and worked at theaters in Elkhorn and Watertown. He was also employed at the University of Whitewater and the Whitewater city schools. After he retired, he was a playground supervisor at the Palmyra Elementary School. Dale was involved with the Boy Scouts, the American Legion in Palmyra, and enjoyed travelling (especially cruises).
SURVIVED BY: Beloved Wife of 61 years Colleen, Children Karen of San Antonio, TX, Ken (Lisa) of Watertown, Sandra (Bob) Douglas of Sussex, Gary, Suzanne, and John (Cindi-Sue) of Palmyra. 20 Grandchildren & 19 Great Grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives & friends.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Daughter Dianne Ehrhardt in 1998.
A Funeral Mass for Dale will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church 919 W. Main St. Palmyra, WI on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00AM with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00AM on Wednesday until the time of mass at the church.
