Daniel A. Zahnle, age 81 of Genoa City, WI ,formerly of Highwood IL,  died Saturday, January 9, 2021. Son of the late Norman Aloysius and Margaret (Sullivan) Zahnle, Daniel was born on May 18, 1939 in Highland Park, IL. Daniel worked for many years as a Post Office Clerk at Highland Park IL and enjoyed talking about trains. He is survived by his children, Daniel (Shannon) Zahnle, Kelly Zahnle (Dave Kamholtz), and Edward Zahnle; his grandchildren, Joshua Goldberg, Tony Zahnle, Caitlin (Mike) Fuentes, Joey Harris, Mackayla Harris, and David Zahnle; his brother Richard (Sharon) Zahnle . Daniel was preceded in death by sister Carol Zahnle and brother Martin Zahnle. Also his sister and brother-in- law Maurine (Dominic) Ugolini. Daniel was a single father who's life was his kids he will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Daniel's name can be made to the Illinois Railway Museum, P.O. Box 427, Union, IL 60180.   The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Genoa City, WI. is assisting the family.
