David A. Taylor, 66 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.  He was born March 30, 1958, in Madison, WI, the son of Lyle and Ethel (Strand) Taylor.  David graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1976.  He was united in marriage to Mona Whaley on April 7, 1979, in Delavan, WI. David was a very hard worker and specialized machinist on Tornos Screw Machines.  He loved to be outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, boating, camping or hiking. David was well known in the family and neighborhood for his gardening skills.  More than anything, David loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.

David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mona, two children: Tara (Jerome) Hubbell and Allen (Patti) Taylor, six grandchildren: Dominus, Hunter, David, Joshua, Linda, and Lyla, mother, Ethel Taylor, brother, Robert (Patty) Taylor, two sisters-in-law, Karen Matheson and Gina Taylor, goddaughter, Shanna Klaar, many aunt, uncles, and extended family members.  He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Taylor, and two brothers: Scott and Jimmy Taylor.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Taylor Home, 205 E. First Ave. Elkhorn, WI, with gathering time until 5:00PM.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
