Obituary

David B. Wiseman age 88 of Twin Lakes, WI, was Ko'ed by cancer in the toughest bout of his life on  Saturday, January 27th, 2018.  He was born on September 7, 1929 in Ft. Atkinson, WI the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Brown) Wiseman.   Sixty-five years ago on June 14, 1952 at St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, WI.  he was united in marriage to Peggy Carey.

Dave graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Burlington, WI. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his time at the university he was a member of the W Club and the UW Boxing Team.  He was both a UW Madison Boxing and a NIT Boxing Champion.    For over 50 years he was the owner/broker of Twin Lakes Realty, Twin Lakes, WI.  which he operated with his wife Peggy until the age of 88.  He was also an owner/agent of American Family Insurance.  Dave served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War where he received the rank of Staff Sergeant.

During his life Dave was a Cub Scout Den Master. He was the Head Commentator at St. John's Catholic Church for 30 years and served on the church building committee. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Twin Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Twin Lakes Men's Golf League and the REALTORS Association.

Dave is survived by his wife Peggy, his five children: Carey (Tom) Kuhlmey, Kevin (Mona) Wiseman, Jane (Jim) Marchuk, Paige (Tom) Thelen, and Tracy (Dugie) Bollendorf.  Further survived by his Grandchildren: Kile (Danielle) Kuhlmey, Katherine Kuhlmey, Sierra Wiseman, Brynn (Falk Haufler) Trussell, Reegan (Ryan) Melcher, Drew (Samantha) Thelen, Taryn (Eric) Weninger, Cody Bollendorf, Adria Bollendorf, Griffin Bollendorf and Step Grandchildren: Amanda Erickson and Katie Burnett.  Great Grandfather  of Gwendolyn  and Wyatt Melcher, Katelyn and Riley Kuhlmey, Sawyer and Bryce Thelen, Hadley and Piper Weninger and Step-Great Granddaughters Mallory (Cody) Palmer and Lily and Mia Burnett.  Step Great- Great Granddaughter Brinley Palmer and one Great-Great Grandson due in February.  He is further survived by his sister MariAlice (Dick) Matz.  Sister in laws Anita Wiseman and Kay Stucka and many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his brothers Wallace and Donald (Doc) Wiseman, sister in law Shirley Wiseman,  nephew Scott Wiseman, sister and brother in laws: Anne and Hank Bierdz, Pat and Bill Myers, Ed Stucka.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 3 at St. John's Catholic Church, 701 N. Lake Ave.,  Twin Lakes, WI.    The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David's name to Love Inc., St. John's Catholic Church, Twin Lakes Rescue Squad or Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Wisconsin.   Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.   The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI is assisting the family.
