Deborah J. Ruiz, age 62, of Delavan, WI, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born on May 30, 1962, in Janesville, WI, the daughter of the late Oswald and Nell (Love) Rhyner. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Renato Ruiz, on August 22, 1998, at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, WI. Together they built a beautiful life together. During her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing different kinds of games and board games, being a girl scout leader for her daughter Martha's troop, quilting, making clothing for her daughter's Barbies and making her kids their Halloween costumes. She was a great cook and baker and truly enjoyed trying new things all the time. She also enjoyed traveling with her mother Nell to New Glarus and learning about their family tree. Deborah's family meant everything to her. She will be remembered as a wonderful and selfless mother, grandmother, wife and friend who was always willing to put others before herself. Her dogs and her family were what meant the most to her in life. Her warm presence will be greatly missed.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband; Renato, children; Martha (Nicholas) Reynosa, Rolando (Mala) Ruiz and Ernesto Ruiz, brother; Michael Rhyner, sister; Christine Padilla and seven grandchildren; Leilani, Nicholas Jr., and Analia Reynosa and Milena, Eli, Mia and Ermanno Ruiz

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents; Oswald (Lill) Rhyner and Nell (Ernest) Karcher and grandparents; Casper and Nina Rhyner and Bernard and Nellie Love Sr.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Rd., Elkhorn, WI, 53121at 12:30PM. A visitation will take place at the church from 10:30AM until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Sugar Creek Lutheran Cemetery.
