Donald E. Hutter age 71 of the Village of Bloomfield, WI (Pell Lake) died Sunday August 9, 2015 at his home.
Donald Eugene Hutter was born on April 7, 1944 in Woodstock, IL the son of the late Ernest and Helen Kelly Hutter. On November 4, 1971 in Woodstock, IL, Donald was united in marriage to Carol Mae DeVries. They lived in Lake Geneva before moving to Pell Lake 43 years ago.
Donald served as a Sp. 4 in the U.S. Army from June 29, 1962 until June 17, 1965 serving in Germany. He then spent 2 years in the National Guard.
Donald worked as a maintenance engineer for the Abby Resort in Fontana, WI for 37 years. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Pell Lake. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Harvard, IL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, gardening, woodworking and flying model airplanes and helicopters.
Donald is survived by: His wife Carol; 2 sons-Scott of Pell Lake, WI and Shawn (Dee of Elkhorn, WI; 2 grandchildren-Tristan and Jake; 3 brothers-William Hutter of Gary, IN, Ron (Betty) Hutter of Delavan, WI and Thomas (Stephanie) Hutter of Kentucky; 3 sisters-Mary (Gary) Zimmerman of Pekin, IL, Judy Kahn of Kentucky and Dorothy (Bruce Cruikshank of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers-George, Albert, Robert, Richard and James Hutter and 2 sisters-Darlene Richard and Barbara Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday August 15, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Genoa City. Interment with Military Honors will be in Bloomfield Cemetery. The Hutter Family will receive friends from 10:00AM Saturday until the time of Services at the Funeral Home.
