Doris R. Sandberg-Salem, 96 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Lake Geneva, WI.  She was born on April 22, 1928, in Des Plaines, IL, the daughter of the late Herman and Alice (Mathis) Kreft.  Doris was a very active member of First Ev. Lutheran Church of Elkhorn.  She served as the treasurer for Ladies Aid and was always willing to help wherever she could. Doris helped coordinate and deliver Meals on Wheels for many years.  She was very faithful and devoted to the Lord.  Doris enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers with her family.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Alice (James) Lembach, stepson, Randy (Julie) Salem, among other stepchildren, grandson, Joseph Lembach, many step-grandchildren, and dear brother, Chester (Linda) Kreft.  She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Russell Sandberg, and brother, Clarence Kreft.

Funeral Service will be 2:00PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Homes, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be 1:00PM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Private Family Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Slades Corners, WI.
