Douglas R. Stewart; 73, of N. Lincoln Street Elkhorn, WI died Sunday April 10, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 21, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI the son of the late William and Lucille (Taylor) Stewart. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a BA in History. On March 22, 1991 he was united in marriage to the former Georgia Skowlund in Elkhorn, WI. He worked for several years as a game designer for TSR of Lake Geneva. Doug was a writer of poetry and had many of his works published. He was a professional bagpiper retiring in 2011, and he was one of the founding members of the Milwaukee Highlander's Pipe Band, He was the co-founder of the Milwaukee chapter of the Society of Creative Anachronism. Doug is survived by his wife of 25 years, Georgia, of Elkhorn, WI, his son John Michael Moore of Chicago, IL, one sister Gail (John) Hightshoe of San Antonio, TX and one brother Leslie Robert Stewart of Oconomowoc, WI.
