Douglas A. Thomson, beloved brother and friend, died December 15, 2020 in a care center in West Allis, Wis. following a stroke. He is survived by three siblings, a sister-in-law and six nieces and nephews: Daniel Thomson of Wisconsin (children Stephanie and Michael), Scott Thomson (wife Susan, and children Taylor and Matthew) of Minnesota, and Linda Thomson (children Amy and Rebecca) of Utah. He also is survived by two aunts, Sally Greve of Minnesota, and Marguerite Johnson of Iowa, as well as many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Rex Thomson, and several aunts and uncles.
Born July 2, 1958 in Beloit, Wis., Douglas attended school there and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. In his teen years, he enjoyed swimming and running, and was skilled at playing the drums. As an adult, he worked in the food industry and as a house painter. He had lived in Janesville, Wis. for the past 20 years. Immediate arrangements are being handled privately by his siblings. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled for a later date in 2021.
