Duane B. Erikson, age 85, of Genoa City, WI, died Thursday March 10, 2016 at his home.

Duane Bror Erikson was born on November 27, 1930 in Wausau, WI, the son of the late Bror and Ella Schmidt Erikson.  Duane moved from Auburndale, WI to Genoa City in 1953.  On May 27, 1961 in Genoa City, WI, Duane was united in marriage to Anita Sandra Kline.

Duane worked as a truck driver/mechanic for Vogelman Transport and then Boncosky Transportation in Algonquin, IL for 20 years retiring in 1992.  He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City.  He was a former member of the Genoasnoers snowmobile club in Genoa City.  He enjoyed bowling and bowled on several mixed couples leagues.  He enjoyed being a mechanic for his boys racecars.

Duane is survived by:  His wife-Anita; 2 sons-Daniel (Dawn) Erikson of Lyons, WI and Ronald (Kristine) Erikson of Lake Villa, IL; 8 grandchildren-Devin, David, Donavin, Ryan, Paul, Emily, Ellen and Claire; Siblings-Gerald (Nancy) Erikson of Richmond, IL, Shirley (Galan) Erdman of Curtis, WI, Mary Ann (James) Foerster of Elgin, IL, Kenneth Erikson of Owen, WI; sisters in law-Mary Jane Erikson of Colby, WI, Susanne Davenport of Allenton, WI and Cindy Erikson of Cambria, WI.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers-David and Alan and Eric Don, and a sister-Jeanette Kalson.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory in Genoa City with Pastor Jennie Swanson officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.  The Erikson Family will receive friends from 9:00AM Tuesday until the time of service.  Memorial remembrances in Duane's name may be made to the Genoa City Garden Club, P.O.
