Duane E. McLaughlin age 81 of Friendship, WI died Wednesday evening October 29, 2014 at his daughter's home in Lake Geneva.
Duane Earl McLaughlin was born on March 7, 1933 in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late Wade and Ruby Rozell McLaughlin. Duane moved from Genoa City to Friendship, WI 29 years ago. He was a self- employed carpenter.
Duane enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and fishing.
Duane is survived by: 2 daughter's Claudia Garvens of Lake Geneva, WI and Deanna (Rick) Reczynski of Genoa City, WI; 1 son-Mike McLaughlin of Elkhorn, WI; 4 grandchildren-Ben (Mary Ann) Garvens, Josh (Aurora) Garvens, Hannah (Ryan) Peterson and Dominic Ecklund; 6 gr. Grandchildren-Alexa, Joshua, Jacob, Madeline, Sophia and Bella; 2 sisters-Lucille Baumeister of Rochester, WI, Sheila Bourn of Minnesota and 1 brother-Ronald McLaughlin of Wautoma, WI.
He was preceded in death by 1 son-Ricky in 1972 and 1 brother-Eugene.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday Nov. 8, 2014 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Genoa City. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. The McLaughlin Family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial remembrances may be made to the VNA Hospice 103 N. Dodge St. Burlington, WI 53105.
