Edward J. "Ned" Bremer age 66 of Milwaukee, WI died unexpectedly Tuesday July 1, 2014 at his home.
Edward James "Ned" Bremer was born on November 9, 1947 in Evanston, IL the son of the late Michael J. and Marion S. Shea Bremer. On May 7, 1983 in St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, WI, he was united in marriage to Shirley Hennes. Shirley preceded him in death on January 13, 2005.
Ned was a veteran of the Vietnam War and spent 24 years in the United States Navy retiring as a Master Chief E9. He wrote and taught the training manuals for the boiler systems at Great Lakes Naval Station. Following his retirement from the Navy, Ned worked for the County of Racine, Ridgewood Care Center Nursing Home doing boiler maintenance until retiring after 20 years of service.
Edward "Ned" loved the outdoors and spending time at the lake with his family, neighbors and friends. Growing up on Powers Lake, he belonged to the Powers Lake Yacht Club. He loved sailing, riding his jet ski, snowmobiling and 4 wheeling with his son Tim. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Edward is survived by: his brother-John M. Bremer of Glenview, IL and 1 stepson-Timothy A. (Kristi Hansen) Rohloff of Wrightstown, WI.
