Edward Kosowski, age 96 of the Village of Bloomfield, WI (Pell Lake), died Saturday March 12, 2016 at his home.

Edward was born on April 5, 1919 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Peter and Barbara Swiniarski Kosowski.  On September 14, 1946 in Cicero, IL, Edward was united in marriage to Virginia V. Mazur.  Virginia preceded him in death on June 6, 2004.  They lived in Chicago, IL until moving to Pell Lake in 1986.

Edward served as a Corporal in the U. S. Army from March 25, 1942 until discharge on October 15, 1945.  He served in Hawaii.  He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.

Edward was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richmond, IL.  He collected stamps and coins.  He enjoyed feeding the birds around his house.

Edward is survived by: 1 son-Edward (Dorothy) Kosowski of Pell Lake, WI; 4 grandsons-Andrew (Constance), Daniel, Peter and Frank and 1 great grandson-Isaac.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers-Stanley and Andrew.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richmond, IL with Monsignor Martin Heim presiding.  Interment with Military Honors will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.  The Kosowski Family will receive friends from 9:00am UNTIL Prayers at 10:00AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
