Obituary

Elkhorn: Eleanor M. Borst; 87, of Elkhorn, WI formerly of Genoa City, WI died Sunday January 17, 2016 at Lakeland Health Care Center.  She was born July 12, 1928 in Racine Wisconsin the daughter of the late Alfred W. and Lillian (Pfeiffer) Parks.   Eleanor was united in marriage to John L. Borst on October 2, 1948 at the Delavan United Methodist Church.  John died April 15, 1992.  For over 30 years Eleanor was treasurer for the Village of Genoa City. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Genoa City and Elkhorn and a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. She was a devoted and loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by her three children, Claudia (Scott) Last of Elkhorn, WI, Joan Borst of Delavan, WI and Michael (Angela) Borst of Slinger, WI, four grandchildren; Jonathon (Melanie Smith) Riese, Breanna Last, Michael and Laura Borst, one great-granddaughter Rose Riese.  Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. Memorial service will be held 12:30 PM Saturday January 23, 2016 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service.  Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery Delavan, WI.  Memorials may be made in Eleanor's name to: Alzheimer's Treatment & Research Center 640 Jackson Street St. Paul, MN 55101.  On-line guest registry is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
