Elizabeth J. "Betsy" Krause age 72, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 2017 at the Aurora Medical Center-Kenosha.

The former Elizabeth Juliann Halun was born on July 8, 1945 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of the late Marion Lee and Sonia Oscislawski.  On January 1, 1972 in Chicago, IL, Betsy was united in marriage to John A. "Jack" Krause.  They moved to Twin Lakes in 2006.

Betsy formerly worked as a beautician in the Chicago area.  She attended the Ascension of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Chicago.  She was an avid volunteer and advocate of Battered Women at Good Shepherd in Chicago.  She enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking and loved animals.

Betsy is survived by:  her husband, John "Jack"; a daughter, Lisa (Aaron Greene) Krause of Birmingham, AL; a son, Anthony John (Audrey) Krause of Northfield, IL; 3 grandchildren, Riley, Kane and Raymond; a sister, Sandra (Ed) Harwood of Napa, CA; a brother, Gene Halun of New Buffalo, MI, a sister in law, Dot Halun of Elgin, IL and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Halun.

A Gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 11:00AM Thursday Sept. 21, 2017 until the Memorial Service at 3:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
