Elizabeth A. Mahoney age 60 of Round Lake Beach, IL. passed away June 2, 2020 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born in Chicago, IL. on December 14, 1959.  The daughter of Eleanor Serafin.   On September 30, 1988 in Waukegan, IL she was united in marriage to Mike Mahoney.   During her life she was a member of the Caboose Park Team and the Mask Brigade, where the last couple months of her life she devoted her extra time and then some to make masks for surrounding businesses and anyone in need, she was so proud of this. She ended up making over 1,000 masks for everyone. She enjoyed being with her children and grandkids, it was always a good day when everyone was together. She spent a lot of her extra time doing charity work either for raffles or donations. Her favorite things to do with her time were crafting, painting rocks, making iron beads, and cracking nuts with her grandkids, watching movies – mainly Disney movies, sleep overs with her grandkids, and shopping with her kids. Her life's work was her family she created. She was her family's biggest fan, always cheered them on no matter what. She made sure she was at all of the family events, big or little. The only time she took for herself was taking hot baths, everything else revolved around her family, friends, or anyone in need. No matter how busy her day was, she always made sure to be home in time to take care of the family dog (Xena).

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Mike.  Mother of Tina (Ian) Hocin of Lake Villa, IL., Colleen Mahoney of Kenosha, WI., and Sean Mahoney of Round Lake Beach, IL.   Loving Grandmother to Noah, Cameron and Benjamin.   Sister of Edward (Yozette) Serafin, Lenny (Sandy) Serafin, Fran (Ron) Hudsputh, Theresa (Rick) Johnson, Dorothy Thomas and Millie (Kevin) Hedlund.  She has many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Bernie Serafin and mother Eleanor Serafin.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday June 6, 2020 from 9:00AM until 10:30AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr.  Twin Lakes, WI.  53181.   A time of sharing will take place at 10:30AM.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00PM at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.   Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.   Luncheon to follow burial, details will be handed out at the services.
