Ellen Gayle Engen age 78 of Poplar Grove, IL; formerly of Williams Bay, WI died on Friday July 22, 2016.  Ellen was born on December 31, 1937; daughter of the late Arthur and Connie (Jacobson) Almen.  Ellen was married to her late husband Marvin on June 30, 1966 in Milwaukee, WI.  Ellen was a fantastic knitter, she enjoyed going to the casino, long road trips and seeing the countryside; and she loved square dancing with her late husband, Marvin.  Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister Priscilla Gifford.  Ellen is survived by her two sisters; Darleen (Wallace) Dahmann and Linda Hussa;  step daughter; Cindy (Ray) Baur; Niece with whom she resided; Melody (Ron) Cook; Niece and Goddaughter; Rebecca (Greg) Granath; ;  step grandchildren; Michelle (Zach) Miller, Tyler (Kylee) Baur, and Nathan Baur; step great grandchildren; Gabriella and Everett; grand niece's/nephew's; Diana Hamblock, Nathan Granath, and Hope Krause; great grand niece's/nephew's; Chase and Evan Hamblock;  and numerous other nieces, nephews, grand, and great grand nieces and nephews.  By Ellen's wishes, no official services will be held at this time.  Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Elkhorn, WI is assisting the family.
