Emory Calvin Trussel, (Cal) passed away in hospice care on September 21, 2024.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Ruth Trussell.  He was the firstborn and is survived by his three brothers and two sisters.  Karen (Clint) Bennett, Guy (Heather) Trussell, Timothy (Tracee) Trussell, Cal Lance (Denise) Trussell and Sharon (Michael) McGrath.

Cal graduated from Wilmot High School in 1965.  He continued his education at Racine Teachers College and Carthage College.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  After his service, he moved to New Orleans, LA and worked in the insurance industry.  In 1985 he returned to Wisconsin and became an elementary school teacher.

Cal took great joy in his family, especially his nieces and nephews.  He loved reading, nature, growing plants, and raising animals.  He had a special love for pigeons.  Cal enjoyed genetics and cross breed pigeons for show and sale.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 16, 2025, at 2:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 620 Legion Dr.  Twin Lakes, WI.
