Eugene Paul (Gene) Kannin, age 87 of Genoa City, WI. passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday December 22, 2016 with family at his side.   Gene was born on September 11, 1929 to the late Eugene F. and Mildred (nee Nicholas) Kannin in Kenosha, WI.

Gene served in the Army, as an Honor Guard in Washington D.C. in his early life.  "Respect".  He was employed as an "Over the Road" Truck Driver at AMC until his retirement in the late 80's.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wilmot, WI., He was also a member of the Tripoli Shriner.

Gene enjoyed riding his Harley, watching and playing Golf, watching the Cubs and Green Bay Packers.  He also liked to fish with his family.  Gene was amazingly fantastic at making replicas of Old Harley Davidson's with his passion of Woodworking.  Gene as also an avid Cribbage Player.

Gene is survived by his children: Steve (Debbie) Kannin, Paul (Jenny)Kannin, Keith (Sara) Kannin, Kerry Kannin, Christine Martin and Susan Medina.  He is further survived by his 9 Grand Children and 6 Great Gandchildren.  He was preceded in death by hir Daughter in Law Shawn (Manhart) Kannin and the Love of his life Jean (Newhouse) Kannin.
