Evelyn E. Walde

Evelyn E. Walde, 84 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan. She was born on May 18, 1941, in Belgium, WI, the daughter of the late Chester and Hilda (Arndt) Harvey. Evelyn was united in marriage to Carl L. Walde Jr. on November 5, 1966, in Harvard, IL. She owned and operated TeePee Ceramics for 20 years. Evelyn enjoyed quilting, crafts and playing cards. Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Evelyn is survived by her two daughters: Melody (Donald) Friedewald and Laurie (late husband, Blaine) Mohr, son-in-law, James Bennett, four grandchildren: Rachel (Michael) Trenkle, Amy (Tyler) Reynolds, James (Kelly) Ligman and Natasha (NaNeKoSew) Grignon, ten great-grandchildren: Mariah(fiancé, Brayden Mahr), Amelia, Jaxson, Lyla, Emma, Athenna“TT”, Rose, Kai, Zoey, Eli, her godson, Mark (Tina) Kolls, and many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Hilda Harvey, loving husband of 56 years, Carl Walde Jr., her daughter, Pamela Bennett, son-in-law, Blaine Mohr, and her two siblings, Alfred Harvey and Janet Zweck.

Visitation will be 9:30AM to 11:00AM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 S. Broad Street Elkhorn, WI, with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00AM with Pastor Tom DeGroot officiating. Private Family Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Lakeland Animal Shelter. Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
