Florence P Riehm

Florence P. Riehm, née Lobraico, passed away on October 2, 2026, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She was born on March 24, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, and lived a life marked by energy, service, and a deep enjoyment of the world around her.

Florence worked for many years as a school bus driver, a role that reflected her steady presence and commitment to others. She also gave her time to the community by delivering Meals on Wheels, offering care and kindness through simple acts that made a meaningful difference.

She embraced life with enthusiasm and was happiest staying active and being outdoors. Florence especially loved snow skiing, and traveled widely to ski in many places. She was an avid bicyclist and speed skater, a reflection of her determination and athletic spirit. She also enjoyed cooking, another way she expressed care and brought warmth to everyday life. Florence was an avid Chicago Bears fan, and she was proud to own a lot of blue and orange merchandise.

Florence did not have an easy life. Many years ago, when she was at a very low point in her family, she came to the realization that she was a helpless sinner who could not save herself. That was when she placed her trust in Jesus alone as her Savior from sin. After beginning her relationship with God, she was always seeking to help others find their help and hope in Jesus Christ as well.

She loved her church, Anchor Baptist Church in Genoa City, and was an integral part of the church family for many years. In her later years, she regularly attended Southern Lakes Church in Elkhorn.

Florence made friends wherever she went, and she will be remembered with affection by those loved ones who miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Riehm, and by her sons, Ryan Riehm and Erich Riehm. Those who knew Florence will remember her as a woman of strength, independence, and just a wee bit of stubbornness.
