Frances J. Blakesley, 96, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Kindred Hearts in Elkhorn, WI.  She was born June 1, 1920 in Iowa, the daughter of the late Alfred and Clara (Cutsinger) Melson.  Frances married Bert Blakesley on September 19, 1942 in Iowa City, Iowa. Bert preceded her in death on October 31, 2012. Frances worked as a Registered Nurse at Lakeland Hospital.  She enjoyed traveling, knitting, clogging, playing bridge and pinochle.  Frances especially loved spending time with her family.

Frances is survived by her 6 children; Jane (Terry) Budworth, Judy (John) Duffiney, Lois (Mel) Yoshikami, Bob (Linda) Blakesley, Weston Blakesley and Jim Blakesley, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bert and 6 siblings.

Memorial services will be 11:00AM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 730 N Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI, with Rev.
