Fredean P. "Fritzie" Miller age 81 of Powers Lake, WI died Saturday morning August 23, 2014 at Geneva, Lake Manor in Lake Geneva, WI.
The former Fredean Patricia Genens was born on November 15, 1932 in Burlington, WI, the daughter of the late Fred and Miriam H. Graham Genens. On September 9, 1958 in Indiana, Fritzie was united in marriage to Harris "Ding" Miller. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2003. Fritzie has been a lifelong resident of Powers Lake.
Fritzie was Postmaster of the Powers Lake Post Office for 30 years. The street in front of the Post Office is named for her. She was a very political woman and was instrumental in keeping the Powers Lake Post Office open when the postal department wanted to close it. She was former past president (1984-1985) of the Wisconsin chapter of the NAPUS (National Assoc. of Postmasters of the United States). She was a member of the Twin Lakes and Pell Lake Senior Citizen's and active in the Randall Fire Dept. activities. She was also a member and officer of the Moose Lodge.
Fritzie was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes. She enjoyed traveling and has been on 19 cruises and was planning another one.
Fritzie is survived by: 1 son-Gregory (Denise) Miller of Warrenville, IL; 1 grandson-Matthew; 1 brother-Joseph (Crystal) Genens of Lake Geneva, WI.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, WI. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Delavan, WI. The Miller Family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Homed in Twin Lakes.
