Gene W. Knutson, 86 of Mequon, WI, formerly of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI.  He was born July 30, 1932 in Scandinavia, WI, the son to the late Walter and Evelyn (Mork) Knutson. Gene married Jean F. Walker on March 28, 1966 in Waukegan, IL.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  Gene worked in communications for the railroad throughout his life.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean, two children: Karen (Erik) Knutson-Neusen of Mequon, WI and Dale Knutson of CA, three grandchildren; Luke, Emma and Leah, and his five siblings; Sharon, Keith, Walt, John and Billy.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings; Felix, Dave and Betty.
