Gerald "Gerry" A. August 81 of Elkhorn, WI died on Thursday February 23, 2023 in Beloit, WI.  Jerry was born on January 9, 1942, son of the late Charles and Martha (Schinke) August.  Jerry had a love for old cars, and could be seen driving around town in one that he owned.  For most of his working career, he worked for Getzen's polishing horns and took much pride in the work he did.  Jerry was also a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elkhorn.  Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings; Harriette August, Jeanette Root, and Carol Rank.  He is survived by a host of cousins; nieces; and nephews.  A Private Service will be held for Jerry; he will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Tibbets, WI.  A special thank you to Pastor Wayne Meier for his many visits over the years.
