Obituary
Gerald Richard Keppen, age 81, of Palmyra, WI passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Gerald was born on August 28, 1932 the son of Walter and Lena Keppen. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country in the 10th Infantry Division. He married Karol Sue Stover on June 25, 1955. Gerald was retired from Trent Tube of East Troy and served as a trustee on the Palmyra Village Board. He managed Sadie's Softball Team, played Land O' Lakes hardball and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Beloved husband of Karol, dear father of Eileen Slak of Fort Atkinson and Kathy Mowat of Houston, TX. Cherished grandfather of Steven Slak and Theresa Blazek. Great-grandfather of Evalynn Taylor. Brother of Robert (Deloris) Keppen of Palmyra and Betty (Marshall) Baker of Arkansas.
Gerald was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lena; brothers, Harold and Donald; sisters, Dorothy and Grace, and grandson, Tyler Slak.
A celebration of Gerald's Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 6:00PM at the Haase Lockwood & Associates Funeral 320 W. Main St. Palmyra, WI with Pastor Russ Frees Jr. officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
