Gerald "Jerry" Lee Seufzer, age 78, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home. Son of the late Herman and Mae Seufzer, Jerry was born on November 26, 1945, in Baraboo, WI, the eldest son of five children. Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964, where he served his country as shipfitter in the Mediterranean, earning the rank of SFM3. Following his honorable discharge in 1968, he was transferred to the Naval Reserve. Jerry worked as a welding engineer at various manufacturing facilities, including Trent Tube in East Troy where he met his wife, Dawn.
Jerry was very proud to be a Navy veteran and had the special privilege of participating in an Honor Flight with his brother, Bud, in September of 2021. He loved to build model Navy ships, especially models of the actual ships he was on during his service. Jerry was a huge Packers fan who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was sitting on his deck with his wife, enjoying his favorite cocktail, a "New York."
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Dawn Seufzer; children, Chase (Sarah) Seufzer, Heidi (Bjorn) Lysne, Sean Becker, and Kevin Seufzer; six grandchildren with one new grandson on the way; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sandi (Leland) Rath, Edward Seufzer, and Bud (Tammy) Seufzer.
In death, he is reunited with his parents; sister, Bette Goodman; father-in-law, Norb Kegley; and nephews, Joel Seufzer and James Goodman.
