Gerald F. Vogel, 84 of 209 Grant Street Elkhorn, WI died Thursday October 29, 2015 at Rainbow Hospice Johnson Creek, WI.  He was born June 14, 1931 in Woodstock, IL the son of the late Howard and Vera (Bumsted) Vogel.  Gerald served in the US Army from November 29, 1954 to November 29, 1956.  He was united in marriage to the former Jean M. Schmitt on November 29, 1952.  He farmed for many years in Richmond, IL, Dodgeville, WI and Elkhorn, WI before retiring.  He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.  Gerald was a member of the Elkhorn VFW Post 6375. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean, three children; Dennis Vogel of Lake Villa, IL, Vicki (Ron) Hellenbrand of Waunakee, WI and Gary (Tana) Vogel of Elkhorn, WI, seven grandchildren; Paul, Haley, Alec, Connor, Ben, Lindsey and Ava.  One sister; Nancy Vogel of Loves Park, IL.  Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.  Memorial service will be 12:00 PM Monday November 2, 2015 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N.
