Geraldine L. "Gerry" VanderZee age 80 of Powers Lake, WI, died Saturday morning September 12, 2015 at her home.

Geraldine L. Koukol was born on May 5, 1935 in Burlington, WI, the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Beatrice A. Klieber Koukol.  On June 18, 1955 in Genoa City, WI, Gerry was united in marriage to Allen "Pete" VanderZee.  He preceded her in death on May 14, 2007.  Gerry has been a lifelong resident of Powers Lake.

In Gerry's early years, she taught school at Elderwood School in Bloomfield Township.  She was a member of the Town of Randall Fire Dept. where she supplied many bake goods at different functions.  She was also a member of the Powers Lake Sportsmen's Club, a former member of the Randall Town Board, the Randall Park Board and the Randall Planning Commission.  Gerry enjoyed baking, cooking, garage sales and going to the casino

Gerry is survived by: 2 daughter's-JoAnn of Stratford, WI and Sue of Pell Lake, WI and Son Timothy of Powers Lake, WI. ; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister-Marilyn (Betty) (Albert) Mosser of Genoa City, WI.

Gerry was preceded in death by 1 son-David, daughter-Gay Griffin and 1 granddaughter-Jennie Bole.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday Sept. 17, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Twin Lakes.  Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City.  The VanderZee Family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
