Glenn A. Smiley, age 66, of Delavan, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on December 6, 1958, in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late John Smiley and Eileen Messerschmidt.

For most of his life, Glenn worked as an over the road truck driver and warehouse manager for Smooth Operators. He spent most of his career driving semi-trucks and loved seeing the country, especially the West Coast. There wasn't an alley he couldn't back an 18-wheeler down successfully.

A true car enthusiast, Glenn had a special fondness for vintage vehicles—particularly 1960s Chevy Impalas. He also enjoyed home improvement projects and was always finding something to dream up. He was a man of many projects, always working on something from sun up to sun down.

Glenn will forever be remembered for his quick wit, warm heart, and generous spirit. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went and he was never without a good one-liner. Above all, he cherished his daughters and was so proud of the women they have become.

He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Glenn is survived by his children, Connie Smiley, Rachel (Bill) Holland and Nicki Smiley; six sisters and brothers, Leroy (Kathy) Smiley, Mike (Kelly) Smiley, Laurie Zwiebel, Joanna (Adam) Salas, Robin Moorhead and Edward (Christina) Smiley; four grandchildren, Dani Fryer, Danovin Johnston, Alydia Krings and Addyson Krings; step-mother, Pat Smiley; mothers of his girls, Teresa Eckardt and Donna Miller; longtime friends, Tammy Grewey and Joe McDonald and a lot of beloved friends.

Glenn is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ruth Smiley; parents, John Smiley and Eileen Messershcmidt; aunts, Barb and Betty Smiley and his loving black cats, Gato and Mijo.
