Gloria Lorraine Esterday age 90 of McHenry, IL died Wednesday April 16, 2014 at Burr Oak Manor in Genoa City, WI.
Gloria was born on December 24, 1923 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie Szumniak Splitt. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Joseph Esterday.
Gloria formerly worked as a clerk at Woolworth's Store in Chicago. After retiring she moved to McHenry, IL.
Gloria was a loving mother of Robert (Debbie), the late Ronald, Gerardine Gail (Michael) Baugh and the late Judy (Jeff) Hess; dear grandmother of Mandi, Virgil, Daryl, Joseph, Tami, Kim, David, Maureen, Colleen, Nicole, Kerri, Theresa, Ronald Jr, Daniel(Sharon Novak, Rebecca Novak and Meira Baugh; great grandmother of Beth, Tristan, Eyon, Mason, Elizabeth, Kayleen and Autumn; dear sister of Josephine (the late Dick) McDevitt, the late Roger and the late Howard; aunt of Maureen, Colleen, Terry, Tim, Kathy, Nancy and Corrine; gr. Aunt of numerous nieces and nephews and a great great grandmother. She was loving bird owner to Pedro and the late Pepper.
Gloria will be interred in St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6800 Milwaukee Ave. Niles, IL 847 647 9845, on May 6, 2014 at 11:00AM. Everyone will meet in the main office and then proceed to a chapel. In lieu of flowers, Gloria requested donations go to "Shelter Angels Pit Bull Rescue; www.shelterangelspitbullrescue.org.
