Gloria J. Melson age 69 of Libertyville, IL passed away Tuesday morning June 9, 2015 at Midwest Palliative Hospice Center in Glenview, IL.

Gloria was born on January 19, 1946 in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of the late Norbert Woodrow and Agnes Praff Wendkandt.

Gloria lived in Genoa City, WI and Lake Geneva, WI before moving to Lake County, IL 31 years ago.  She worked as a mixologist for the Dover Straits Restaurant in Mundelein, IL for many years.  Her greatest love was her family and she took a strong interest in her customers at Dover Straits.  She also loved her dogs.

Gloria is survived by: 2 sons-Richard J. (Debbie) Melson of Pell Lake, WI and Mathew (Keesa) Melson of Fox, Lake, IL; 4 grandchildren-Julia, Michael, Ted and Devon; 4 brothers-Rick (Linda) Kluge of Lake Geneva, WI, Ron (Deb) Kluge of Delavan, WI, Gerald Kluge of Oklahoma and Larry Wendlandt of Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by a brother-Kraig Kluge and her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00PM Friday June 12, 2015 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory in Genoa City.  A gathering of friends will be held from 5:00PM until the time of services.  For online guestbook: haaselockwoodfhs.com.
