Graciela V. Deserrano, 89 of Genoa City, WI., passed away on Friday March 28th, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Graciela was born in Durango, Mexico on March 14th, 1936, to Luis and Trinidad Vargas. She was united in marriage to Juan Serrano in May of 1957 in Durango, Mexico.
Graciela loved her family more than anything, one of the ways she showed her love was through cooking making sure everyone was well fed. Always the hard worker, even working up until she was 82 years old before retiring, very independent woman, and a cancer survivor twice in her lifetime. When it was time to relax, Graciela spent time watching Novelas and movies of El Santo Enmascarado de Plata on T.V.
Graciela is survived by her children, Juan Serrano, Silvia (Fernando) Mata, Laura (Miguel) Jaramillo, Jorge Serrano (Teo Osorio), and Hector Serrano. Her sister, Yolanda Vargas. She is further survived by her 18 grandkids, 35 great grandkids, and 1 great-great grandkid.
Graciela is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Juan, and her son Victor Serrano.
A funeral service for Graciela is planned for Friday, April 4th, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes WI. 53128. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at Noon. Haase-Lockwood & Associates are honored to serve the Serrano family.
