Elkhorn: Graydon Carl Oleson; 70, of Sugar Creek/Elkhorn, WI died Monday May 26, 2014 at Wisconsin Veterans Home Union Grove, WI. He was born in Elkhorn, WI on September 27, 1943 the son of the late Lauren and Lucille (Parrish) Oleson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Palmyra, WI. He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until 1968. The first year of service he proudly played trombone in the honorable 5th Army Band. Graydon lived in Milwaukee, WI before moving back to Sugar Creek. He was employed at Jack White Ford and drove truck for JJ Transport and ZTC Transport. He was a member of DAV, he was an accomplished trombone player and had a great love for music. He had an interest in NASCAR and anything with wheels and a engine. He attended the EAA Conventions and car shows. He enjoyed Abell's Restaurant daily where he met many wonderful friends. He is survived by a brother; Roger Oleson of Elkhorn, WI and three sisters; Jean Wickingson of Janesville, WI, Linda Lou (Dan) Haddock of Rockford, IL and Marion Oleson of Kingman, AZ, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law; Tom Wickingson. Funeral service will be 12:30 PM Monday June 2, 2014 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Gerald L. Petersen officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial with military rites will be 11:00 AM Tuesday June 3, 2014 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Union Grove, WI.
