Grayling Brian Sawtelle passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his sister Georgia (Mark) Ramthun, brother Geff (Debbie) Sawtelle, brother Greg (Brenda) Sawtelle, and sister Gretchen (Ben) Smith. He is also survived by his nieces, Jenny (Brian) Nabb, Stacy Sawtelle (Rais) Vohra, and Heather (Tyler) Gohlke; nephews, Gerald Sawtelle III and Jake Sawtelle; his sister-in-law, Karbet Sawtelle, and former sister-in-law, Sue Kitzman; and his friend, Dennis Brewer; along with numerous other special friends and family. Grayling was preceded in death by his mother and father Betty and Gerald Sawtelle Sr., brother Gerald Sawtelle Jr. and niece Karla Sawtelle.

Grayling was a very talented floral designer for several years and eventually retired from his job in the newspaper industry. Grayling also enjoyed his part time employment in the paint department at Lowes. In his spare time, Grayling loved being at home with his beloved puppies, Stella and Daisy, working in his beautiful yard and home, which was always decorated to perfection, especially during the Christmas holiday season. Grayling loved hosting all of the holiday dinners at his home, and being surrounded by his friends and family.

A visitation celebrating Grayling's life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street, Elkhorn, WI 53121, from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM.  Grayling will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery next to his parents at a later date.
