Gregory John Goodall 1948—2017
Greg, 68, passed away May 31, 2017, after a short illness. He spent every winter in warmer climates after retiring from the Rockford Register Star, where he worked for 25 years. Survivors include two sisters, Lila (Phil) Morris of Kirkland, IL and Barb Schliefer of Janesville, WI; one brother, Terry Ponder of Elkhorn, WI; also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Wesley and Rose Goodall and sister, Linda Watts.
A memorial gathering will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the recreation center at 56 Senate Dr., Rockford, IL 61109. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent the recreation center. Condolences online at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home.
