Gregory S. Key: 64, of Elkhorn, WI formerly of East Troy, WI passed away Thursday June 23, 2016 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 13, 1952 in Elkhorn, WI the son of the late Robert W. and Suzanne (Ketchum) Key. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison short course in agriculture and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church of East Troy. Greg was always active in staying up to date on all sporting events. Specifically, he loved watching the Green Bay Packers and was an avid Wisconsin Badger fan. Greg is survived by his son: Garrett Key of Milwaukee, WI, Garrett's mother, Nancy Key of East Troy, WI, two step-children: Ericha Johnson of Milton, WI and Jeremy Swendrowski of East Troy, WI, Three sisters: Luanne Jean (Wayne) Erikson of Woodinville, WA, Loretta Sue (Ken) Meinel of Elkhorn, WI and Roberta Mae (Marty) Zess of Genoa City, WI, niece and nephews Tyler, Chelsea and Bryant and by a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held July 8, 2016 at St. James United Methodist Church 2945 Main Street East Troy, WI. Visitation will be at church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 Pm. Please come and share with the family and friends your memories of Greg. As the 1000th kidney transplant recipient at Froedtert Hospital of Milwaukee in 1985 and on dialysis for 20 years, Greg's parting wish was to ask that any memorials or donations to be made in his name to: National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin 10909 W.
