Harold "Bud" E. Palenshus, 87 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away Friday, March 18,2016 at his home in Elkhorn, WI.  He was born on March 24, 1928 at home in Elkhorn, WI to Alexander and Elsie Palenshus.  Harold was united in marriage to Agnes Charmichael on October 26, 1949 in Fort Atkinson, WI.  Agnes preceded in death on July 27, 2010.  Harold enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with his family. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years.  After retirement, Harold spent his summers with Agnes at Nature's Villa.  He also loved attending Senior Movie Day at the Showboat Movie Theater in Lake Geneva.  Harold was a family man and will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his four children; Katherine (Steven) Wright, Brian (fiancé, Gloria)Palenshus, Roger Palenshus and Christine (Edward) Scaro, sister, Helen (Don) Ellsworth, 10 grandchildren; Scott (Atalie) Wright, Ashley (Chris) Widmayer, Dustin (fiancé, Sara) Palenshus,  Shey (Phil) Zwieg, Alex (Kimberly) Scaro, Logan Scaro, Stacey (Kevin) Nettesheim, Nathan Palenshus, Casey Palenshus and Madison Palenshus, six great-grandchildren; Steven and Jaylyn Palenshus, Elliot and Alana Wright and two great-grandchildren due this summer.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Agnes and son, Steven Palenshus.

Funeral Service will be 11:00AM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 S Broad St. Elkhorn, WI, with Pastor Tom De Groot officiating.  Visitation will be 9:00AM until service time Monday at church.  Interment will follow services at Hazel Ridge Cemetery in Elkhorn, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harold's name to St. John's Lutheran Church.  Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home is assisting the Palenshus Family.  Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
