Obituary

Harold R. Kautz, age 75, of Genoa City, WI, died Thursday morning March 31, 2016 at the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center under the care of Aurora At Home Hospice.

Harold Robert Kautz was born on April 17, 1940 in Geneva Township, WI, the son of the late Robert Albert-Herman and Leah Marjorie Davis Kautz.  Harold has lived in Genoa City his entire lifetime.  On September 15, 1962, in Richmond, IL, Harold was united in marriage to Judith Ann Beak.

Harold was self-employed, owning Harold's Home Improvement in Genoa City for over 35 years.  He sided many homes and businesses in the Genoa City and surrounding areas.  Harold was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City where he was chairman of the properties committee for many years.

Harold loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and really enjoyed going on car rides.  He also loved playing euchre.  One of his greatest hobbies was working on cars.

Harold is survived by:  His wife-Judith; 3 daughters-Claudia (Jeffrey) Jurewicz of Genoa City, WI, Charlene (Roger) Dupler of Waukesha, WI and Lisa (Joe) Ahler of Genoa City, WI; 1 son-Michael Kautz of Kewaunee, WI; 8 grandchildren-Sean Jurewicz, Marlin Dupler, Everett Dupler, Charles Dupler, Brandon Ahler, Brittany (Ben) Massey, Chelsea Miller and Sam Ahler; 1 great grandchild-Bekett Massey; 1 brother-Allan (Patricia) Kautz of Burlington, WI and 1 sister-Linda Warth of Illinois.

Harold was preceded in death by: His parents, 1 grandson-Andrew Robert Jurewicz; 1 granddaughter-Hillary Leah Jurewicz; daughter in law-Karen Kautz; son in law-Timothy Miller and 1 sister-Marjorie Oxtoby.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday April 9, 2016 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City with Pastor Jenny Swanson, officiating.  The Kautz Family will receive friends from 9:00AM Saturday until the time of services at the Church.  Memorial remembrances may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City.  For online guestbook: haaselockwoodfhs.com.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
