Elkhorn: Hazel E. Laue; 91, of North Como Road Elkhorn, WI died Sunday July 6, 2014 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Elkhorn, WI. Hazel was born November 2, 1922 in Hampshire, IL. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Iva (Burchfield) Frohling. She was united in marriage to Harvey W. Laue on May 1, 1943 in Harmony, IL. Harvey died November 5, 2009. Harvey and Hazel farmed in the Marengo and Huntley Illinois area for several years. Then in 1966 they moved to their farm on MacLean Road in the Town of Geneva, WI. They retired from farming in 1994. Hazel is survived by her daughter Cindy (Mick) Remer of Elkhorn, WI, Four grandchildren; Alex and Lukas Remer, Christopher and Andrew Laue and by five great-grandchildren. Two sister-in-laws; Delores Sorensen and Eleanor Phelps both of Marengo, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 66 years, Harvey, son Donald Laue, infant granddaughter, three brothers: Harold, Albert and Ray. Three sisters; Eleanor Hacker, Shirley Diedrick-Hayes and infant sister Lucille Frohling and by a special nephew; Ronald Frohling.
