Helen J. Sarmont, age 100, of Kenosha, WI and formerly of Twin Lakes, WI, died Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Kenosha Senior Living.

The former Helen Joann Rempala was born on March 24, 1918 in Stevens Point, WI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Jekot Rempala.  On February 14, 1952 in Chicago, IL, Helen was united in marriage to Walter J. Sarmont.  He preceded her in death on April 20, 1993.  They lived in Chicago, IL until moving to Powers Lake, WI and then to Twin Lakes, WI.

Helen formerly worked for Sears Roebuck and Co. in Chicago, IL and then for Honey Bear Farms.  She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, the St. John's Ladies Club and the Twin LAKES Senior Citizens.  She volunteered at St. John's Food Pantry.

Helen is survives by nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 7 brothers, John, Stanley, Valentine, Joseph, Charles, Casimir and Frank and one sister, Mary Rempala.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Friday May 18, 2018 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Twin Lakes.  Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
