Helene L. Bomar

Helene L. Bomar, 82 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. She was born January 29, 1944, the daughter of the late Horace and Lila (Wilson) Peck. On December 5, 1969, in Rockford, IL, Helene was united in marriage to James “Jim” P. Bomar. Helene worked as a CNA at Lakeland Nursing Home for over 34 years. She loved her job and treasured all her coworkers throughout the years. Jim and Helene enjoyed fishing and hosting fish fries for the family. Helene was always ready to have good time. She made tie knot blankets for all her grandkids. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma.

Helene is survived by four children: Spencer Bomar, Jason (Deb) Bomar, Jeanette (Vernon) Souder, and Vicki (Kurt) Voiss; 12 grandchildren: Josh (Ashley), Katie (Shane), Jammie (Ryan), Bud (Emma), Cody (Hailey), Brett, Dalton (Madalyn), Olivia, Mackenize (Richard), Mircy (Joey), Hunter (Skylar) and Connor,12 great-grandchildren, Ellie, Jameson, Delilah, Mikayla, Aiden, Izik, Eli, William, Kian, Luanna, Waylon, and Baby Bomar, and one sister, Claritta Abell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim, parents, brother, Harvey (Jane) Peck, sisters, Jeanette Montieth, Marjorie Brough, and Tirzah Merath.
