Helmut Pleuger age 81 of Lake Geneva, WI died Wednesday June 10, 2015 at  the Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI.

Helmut was born on March 13, 1934 in Schlarpe, Germany, the son of the late Karl and Augusta Hilke Pleuger.  He was married to Margaret Schlosser.

Helmut owned and operated a shoe repair shop in Chicago and also dealt in real estate.  He enjoyed photography and was a hobby politician.  He spent 25 years very active in the German American community.

Helmut is survived by: his wife Margaret; 3 sons-Thomas (Lisa) Pleuger of Twin Lakes, WI, Peter (Linda) Anfang of Trevor, WI and Ronald (Linda) Pleuger of Trevor, WI and one daughter-Irene Pleuger of Oregon, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter-Elizabeth "Lizzy" P. Pleuger on May 21, 2000 and a brother-Karl.

Private Family services will be held.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. and Crematory of Twin Lakes is handling arrangements.
