Elkhorn: Herbert Joseph Cobian, 84; of Theatre Road Delavan died Friday July 4, 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 18, 1929 in River Falls, WI. He was the son of the late Ben and Mary (Reis) Cobian. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. On April 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Irma M. Groener in Elkhorn, WI. Herb worked in dairy farm services for over 35 years retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Elkhorn and Williams Bay VFW Post 2373. Herb was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Irma, Four children: Dietmar H. (Lynn Kennedy) Cobian of Lake Geneva, WI, Dale G. (Christa) Cobian of Lisbon, WI, Denise E. Hussinger of Delavan, WI and Donna (Darrell) Runge of Port Orange, FL, Ten grandchildren: Ashley and Derek Hussinger, Jakob and Lukas Cobian, Ezra and Ally Runge, Austin and Alec Haase, Juliena and Tommy Barton. One sister: Marlys (Herbie) Tauchen of Bonduel, WI. Two brothers: Francis (Joyce) Cobian of Sheboygan, WI and Kenneth (Susan) Cobian of St. Anthony, MN and by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 5:00 PM Tuesday July 8, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery Union Grove, WI on Wednesday.
