Hilary J. Naborowski, age 86, of Powers Lake, WI, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at his home.

Hilary John Naborowski was born on May 18, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Walter and Joanna Gronowski Naborowski.  On June 18, 1958 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Chicago, Hilary was united in marriage to Phoebe Joan Kasluga.  They lived in Cicero, IL and Chicago, IL before moving to Powers Lake 26 years ago.

Hilary served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal from January 16, 1952 until discharge on January 15, 1954. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  He earned a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Accounting from Loyala University.  He formerly worked as an accountant for Mobil Oil Co.in Chicago.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington, WI.  He enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader, cooking, Polka dancing and loved being a Grandpa (Papa).

Hilary is survived by:  his wife, Phoebe; a daughter, Jill (Mike) Gibson of Itasca, IL; Papa of 3, Abigail Romano, Alex (Kayla) Romano and Alyssa Romano; brother in law of Lorraine Naborowski of Western Springs, L and Barbara Moriello of Riverside, CA and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence and a brother in law, Pat Moriello.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday Dec. 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 108 McHenry St. (Hy P) in Burlington, WI.  The Naborowski Family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Monday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI and at the Good Shepherd Chapel at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington from 10:00AM Tuesday until the time of Mass.  Inurnment will be in Southern WI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove at a later date.  Memorial remembrances may be made to the Twin Lakes American Legion Post #544, Box 907, Twin Lakes, WI 53181.  For online guestbook: haaselockwoodfhs.com.
