IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacqueline "Jackie"
A. Zentmyer
January 20, 1944 – May 13, 2024
Jacqueline Ann ("Jackie") Zentmyer, age 80, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 20, 1944 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Benjamin and Rose (Granahan) Zentmyer. Jackie graduated from Alvernia High School in Chicago in 1962 and attended Moser Secretarial School (now Robert Morris University). She was a professional secretary with proficiency in shorthand and speed typing.
Jackie was very strong in her faith and a devout Catholic. She faithfully served and retired from St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, WI, and generously volunteered her time to the church. Not only did she volunteer at St. John's, but she also volunteered at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Chicago, wearing many hats and running the bingo and carnival for several years. At both parishes, Jackie worked as the office administrative assistant, lector and Eucharistic Minister.
Jackie's first big job was working for the FBI. She was later an employee of Needlecraft, Burns Air King, and Pepsi Co. Bottling Company.
In her free time, Jackie enjoyed gardening, decorating for all of the holidays, baking, and making her signature deviled eggs and fruit-filled, deluxe Jello molds, which will be missed at all the family parties. She also LOVED visiting Ireland and had traveled there seven times. Jackie was proud of being Irish. She was a people person who loved God, her family which always included her dog, all of her friends as well. Jackie really loved life, and was a kind, loving and generous person who will be deeply missed by all. Jackie's circle of close friends includes classmates from the 1950s and '60s -- a room filled with laughter was guaranteed when Kathy, Sue, Pat and Jackie got together!
She is survived by her brother, Hugh J. (Diane) Zentmyer and two sisters, Elizabeth (Steven) Braswell, Mary (Patrick Causgrove) Zentmyer, five nieces and nephews: Jane, Debbie, Joe, Tim and Bridget, and eleven great-nieces and nephews. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Benjamin, Jr. And Raymond); dear friend, Kathy Ward, her beloved aunts and uncles and many cousins. Elizabeth (Betty) was a devoted caregiver to her sister for many years. Jackie loved angels, and she had her own, private earth angel in Betty Jean.
