James August, age 91, of Oakbrook Terrace, IL, died on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Vales) August, Jim was born on July 18, 1930 in Emery, WI. In 1986, on his birthday, Jim was united in marriage with Hildegard J. Rehr, who later preceded him in death in 2006. During his life, Jim worked as an overhead crane operator for a steel mill. In his free time, he was an avid bowler. Jim especially enjoyed family events, and could often be found watching ball games with his brothers.

Jim is survived by his siblings; Eleanor Schwark, Sandy Reckner, Frank August, and Betty Van Buskirk; as well as many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian August; his wife of 19 years, Hilde August; brother, Joseph (Peggy) August; brothers-in-law, Roy Schwark and Jerry Reckner; and sister-in-law, Gladys August.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 12:00PM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr., Twin Lakes, WI 53181. A visitation will take place from 11:00AM until the time of the service at noon. Online condolences at haaselockwoodfhs.com.
